We offer two scheduled media skills courses, Proactive and Reactive. Both are designed to prepare you for contact with the media, be it radio, television or the press. Our Journalist trainers use a range of practical media training techniques to explain how the media works and to allow individuals to cope with its demands.
Proactive Media Skills is designed for delegates would like to use the media to reach new or existing customers to promote their products, services or thoughts to enhance their business brand.
This course will give delegates a sound understanding of how the media works and offers the basics in print, TV and radio interview handling skills so that delegates can confidently use the media to connect with their audience and potential customers.
Throughout the session, delegates will receive 1-2-1 coaching and feedback from our senior, working, journalist-tutors and will be given the opportunity to experience a range of tailored print and broadcast interviews in a safe yet realistic environment.

This course takes place at Media First's TV and radio studios in Reading and includes lunch and refreshments. There will be a maximum of 10 delegates attending. All broadcast interviews will be recorded and given to the delegates on DVD alongside detailed individual written feedback.

The course leader was excellent and taught us a lot about journalists and journalism as well as the different media we could be involved with.
