Liz began her career at the BBC, reporting for and presenting programmes including Newsnight, Breakfast News and Daily Politics.
She regularly works for Channel 4 Dispatches; her programme 'Hunted' about vigilante Russian gangs that target gay men won a series of industry awards. She was named Journalist of the Year by Stonewall.
Liz was the Newsnight reporter who tried to expose Jimmy Savile as a sexual predator. The investigation was controversially dropped and an independent inquiry later concluded "the story should have run." Despite the story not being broadcast, Liz was recognised with a London Press Club Scoop of the Year award.
She was also Newsnight's Ireland Correspondent, covering the years after the peace process.
Outside broadcasting, Liz is media advisor to the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry, looking into abuse of children in the island's care system. She is also an experienced media trainer of private and public sector clients, focusing on changes in the way news is reported and the impact of social media.
"Very useful to have 'real' journalists running the course. A definite bonus and it made the course very credible.”
